“New
Beginnings” – On the 3rd Saturday of each month, the ladies gather for fellowship and Bible
study at a member’s home or in the fellowship hall. Sunday Bible Study – 10:45 - noon Sunday mornings, we may look at the scriptural readings for that Sunday, study a book of the Bible, Lutheran Beliefs & Doctrines, or even the Lutheran Liturgy. Grab a cup of coffee and join us. Wednesday Bible Study (Our "Spiritual Workout" for the week) – 10:00 a.m. on Wednesdays we meet to study a variety of spirit-filled topics - Baptism, Holy Communion, a book of the Bible... discussion to build up our "faith muscles" and help us in our day-to-day lives.
The "Joyful Noise" – Our choir meets on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. You don't have to be a great singer! Just make a joyful noise! Advent Services - Wednesday mornings after Bible Study during Advent (light lunch & service) & Wednesday evenings during Advent (light supper & service) Christmas Caroling - A few weeks before Christmas, members of our faith family and their friends go help spread Christmas cheer to our shut-ins, people in nursing homes, and members and friends who "are on our list." We may not all sing "perfectly", but we have a perfectly wonderful time and so do those we serenade. Everyone is welcome to join us, or you can request a visit for yourself or someone you know. Lenten
Services
– Wednesday mornings after Bible Study during Lent (light lunch & service)
& Wednesday evenings during Lent (light supper & service)
Prime Timers – Our “over 50”
crowd gathers monthly for fellowship and an “adventurous outing” or some sort of fun in the fellowship hall. Pot
Lucks – Wherever two or three Lutherans are gathered together, they have
a pot luck supper, and Our Savior’s faith family is no different.
Whenever there’s a reason for the family to gather, there’s a pot luck. Sunday
Morning Coffee –
Before and After Sunday School and Church on Sundays, come around for coffee and
good conversation.
The “Yellow Dot” program is the first program of its kind in the state of Alabama. It is designed to assist Alabama citizens and first responders in the event of an automobile crash or other medical emergency involving the participant’s vehicle. The program can help save lives during the critical “golden hour” by improving communication at a time when accident victims may be unable to communicate for themselves.
